only 2 miles South of M-72,

A good working definition of Adult Foster Care:

"Adult Foster Care (AFC) Homes are residential settings that provide 24-hour personal care, protection, and supervision for individuals who are developmentally disabled, mentally ill, physically handicapped or elderly who cannot live alone but who do not need continuous nursing care. Adult Foster Care Homes are restricted to providing care to no more than 20 elderly or disabled adults."

Currently, Kelso House AFC will accept a maximum of 3 clients.  Our emphasis is one-on-one client care, doing everything possible to meet not only their physical or medical needs, but striving to meet their emotional needs by encouraging them to be a part of our family.  We are selective in our process - wishing to create a social atmosphere where we and all of our clients get along well and encourage each other.  We have found that these personal touches make for happier clients, and in a very real and concrete way, mentally and physically healthier clients.

Kelso House Adult Foster Care has much to offer by way of personal care and a beautiful home setting.  Situated on 3 acres of wooded northern Michigan countryside, Kelso House Adult Foster Care has been designed with comfort and sociability  in mind.
